We are excited to announce our annual Petersburg Camera Club photo contest and exhibition! This will be one of the two exhibitions for the Petersburg Area Art League’s Friday for the Arts for the month.

WHEN:

AUGUST 14, 2026 – OCTOBER 4, 2026 

Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 5pm 

Sunday 11am – 4pm

2nd Floor Gallery

7 E. Old St., Petersburg VA

Please review the Rules of the Contest below:

RULES:
1. Only paid-up Club members will be eligible to submit photos. It is not too late to become a member of the Club. Membership fees are $25 for a single person and $35 for a family. Contact Dick Menendez[dmanapse@aol.com]  or Ken Cox [klcox1@yahoo.com] for additional membership information.

2. Each member may submit up to three [3] photos.

3. Photos must be mounted so they will not bend and must have a method of hanging. Framing is optional.

4. Photos may be any topic, size, color or black and white, and may have been taken at any time.

5. The entries will be judged and First, Second, and Third place and two Honorable Mentions in each category, and will be awarded winning ribbons.

6. No name or watermark may be shown on any photograph.

7. On the back of the photos, we will need the following information: photographer’s name, title of the photo, category [Person, Place, or Thing], and price of the photo [if for sale]. If the photo is NOT for sale, please indicate so by adding NFS.

8. Details about when you can bring your photos to PAAL will be published as soon as we work out a schedule with PAAL.

It is important that all entries are in compliance with the Club’s policy on any use of AI images.
